FAQ
  • How do I load PDF files into PaperPad?

There are two ways to load your PDF files into PaperPad. You can always load files into PaperPad through iTunes by following Apple's instructions, here.

The second method is emailing the documents to yourself. After you open the Mail app on your iPad, you tap and hold for approx. 2-3 seconds on the attached file. You will see a popover appear, asking you which app to use to open the attached file. PaperPad or PaperPad Lite is in the list of apps which can open PDFs. However this only works for multi-page documents. For single page documents Mail shows its own preview and does not allow opening with 3rd party apps.

  • How do I delete PDF files from PaperPad?

You can delete files which you don't need anymore in the Create new paper screen using the little x-buttons. If you don't see the buttons, then you need to update to version 1.2!

You can also delete the files through iTunes file sharing by following Apple's instructions,
here

  • Why does my PDF look unsharp?

They don't! This was a necessary limitation due to the way Apple has implemented rendering PDFs into another PDF file. Update to version 1.2 and enjoy your PDF files in their resolution independent sharpness!

  • Why can't I email very very large PDF documents?

This is a necessary limitation due to the limited RAM memory in the iPad. From version 1.2 onwards, the maximum size of a PDF which can be processed by PaperPad is 10MB. Which is plenty, maybe a thousand pages, maybe more.

  • How do I delete my writing/drawing?

You can either use the undo functionality to delete scribbles one by one, or shake your iPad to completely clear a page.
